The GIB Africa Alliance Conference is an annual event of thought leadership, topical discussions, and online inspired networking.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
 

This year the GIB Africa Alliance conference will use a specialised online networking platform. Attendees enter a “room” and are automatically placed at a table where you will see avatars of the other attendees at the event. By switching on your video and audio you will be able to engage and network with those at your table. See how to use the platform as an attendee here.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
 

Please ensure that you have a strong internet connection and sufficient data before joining the online event. GIB Insurance Brokers cannot be held responsible to connection issues and no refunds will be issued if you fail to connect.


A Webcam and Microphone are required for this event. Test your webcam and microphone beforehand, and make sure you can use it.


For an optimal experience use one of these recommended browsers on desktop.

Chrome 77 or better, Firefox 76 or better, Safari 12 or better. Please avoid using Internet Explorer


The ticket is not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Please note that no under 18's or students will be allowed into this event. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or to insist that any visitor leaves the event for any reason.

HOW DOES IT WORK

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ENTER?
Attendees enter a “room” and are automatically placed at a 4 – 6 seater table where you will see avatars of the other attendees at the event.

HOW DO YOU CONNECT?
By switching on your video and audio you will be able to engage and network with those at your table. Just like at a real-life event, attendees can move between tables with a simple double click and even connect with specific attendees via private messaging and LinkedIn.

HOW DO WE VIEW THE WEBINAR?
When its time for the webinar attendees are alerted, and all networking is paused while the webinar commences.
